so-- I have exactly 5 minutes until my alarm is going to go off and I'll have to leave the library and make my way to Austin East Young Life Club. I'm nervous-- so I blog.
I've spent the last hour filling out applications for summer internships rather than studying for Astronomy, applying for summer spanish classes, or doing extra credit. I don't know why I want to avoid those three things so desperately.
I watch Eric complete his lab write-up with so much motivation. Every time he sits back, pen in mouth, contemplating his next sentence... I feel more and more guilty.
When am I going to realize that semester 2 is already in full swing. I give myself the excuse that we're just now getting started, but that's a lie. We're already on our way to midterms.
Speaking of lying... today I told a lie. I told Mike, Devin, and Carter that I was going to apply for a job at McDougals... that's not THAT ridiculous... is it?
So-- Ryan has swine flu and a totaled car. Sad? chyeah. Is he still remaining positive? chyeah. This is why he is so good for me.
I guess I'll stop here: but at some point I'd love to write about what we're learning in small group. For now just know: I'm totally the older brother of the prodigal son and Jesus loves you.
