So, in the words of one of my close friends, "I suck at life." Though someone who is especially nice may disagree, this is the honest truth. I have not passed one test I've taken in the past few weeks. (This is a lie.) I've passed plenty of tests, but I have not done as well as I wanted to do. It's frustrating to try hard and not reap benefits.
The reason I'm listening to Wildflowers by Tom Petty is because I think I belong somewhere I feel free. Don't know where that is yet, but I'm pretty sure it couldn't possibly be astronomy.
Other than school, things are going pretty great. I got to see my family last weekend-- I also got to see Eric Clapton and Roger Daltrey in Nashville. It was so good.
I also realized today that I am really having a good college experience. For as much as I complain, I have a feeling I'll look back on these days and really miss it/ enjoy remembering it.
Things I love/ I think I'll miss about UT:
- Walking around campus and spending time in the library
- Riding an elevator up to my room daily
- Being a college YL Leader. (It's a new found love.)
- Going to the dollar theater and sneaking in $1 Frito burritos
- Sleeping in this twin bed about 4 inches from Devin's bed and 20 feet from the Kitchen sink
- Living across the street from the gym
- Visiting Sarah Moore Greene on Tuesdays!
- Using dining dollars
- Seeing about 20+ friends every day
- Stressing about silly things like Astronomy
- My amazing small group
- Spending time at the crappy apt. or library with my boyfriend
- Wearing jeans or sweatpants every day
- RUF
- Endless supplies of new music from friends who are more than willing to share
- Spring Break beach trips
- 3 hour lonely drives between Murfreesboro and Knoxville
I'll stop there, but I could keep going and going.. Sometimes listing all the good stuff helps me appreciate it more.
Picture to come: Mama Tammy and me at the concert!
